Charging the speaker is so easy you’ve probably figured it out by now, but just in case, you’ve got two options: you can charge it
using your computer or a wall outlet. The Rave Max needs about 3 hours for up to 4 hours of party time.
The LED lights on your speaker let
you know what it’s doing.
1. The cord that came with the speaker — the
one with the USB on one end and the micro
USB on the other — will work with your
computer.
2. If you want to use the wall outlet, you’ll need
to pick up a power cord with a micro USB the
next time you’re at the store, or use any USB AC
adapter, including the one for your cell phone.

CONNECTION — IT’S A SETUP
Like any amazing couple, this one starts with a connection — one between
your device and the speaker’s Bluetooth. Here’s how it works:
1. Make sure the smartphone, tablet, or computer you’re using with the
speaker has Bluetooth.
2. Turn on the speaker (press and hold the power button for 3 seconds) and
look for the little blinking light.
3. Do whatever your device needs you to do on its end.
4. Look for JAM Rave Max in your device’s Bluetooth list or click YES.
5. Now hit PLAY on your speaker and crank it up — or down if you’re lame.

The device and Bluetooth will find each other every time, as long as the
speaker is set to Bluetooth and your device’s Bluetooth is, you know, on.
If you’re connecting to a computer, you may have some extra steps on
that end. You’ll have to get that information from the computer company.
Depending on your device, you may be prompted to enter a pairing
code. If prompted, enter “0000” as the code.
To disable pairing of an existing device and pair a new device, press and
hold the + and – buttons for 15 seconds to activate pairing mode.
Note: If you turn on your Rave Max but haven’t started the party yet, it
will automatically power off after 2 minutes of unpaired inactivity.
Note: Once you've paired, if you pause the party for 15 minutes or more,
the JAM Rave Max will automatically shut off to preserve battery power.

This document describes the JAM Rave Max, a portable speaker designed for wireless audio playback and speakerphone functionality.

Function Description:

The JAM Rave Max is a versatile portable speaker that allows users to enjoy their music wirelessly via Bluetooth or through a traditional auxiliary cable connection. It also features a built-in speakerphone, enabling hands-free calling. The device is designed for ease of use, with intuitive controls and clear LED indicators to communicate its status.

Usage Features:

Power and Charging:

The speaker requires approximately 3 hours to fully charge, providing up to 4 hours of party time. It can be charged using a computer via the included USB to micro USB cord, or through a wall outlet using a USB AC adapter (not included). A battery light indicator shows when the battery is low or charging.

Bluetooth Connection:

To connect wirelessly, ensure your smartphone, tablet, or computer has Bluetooth enabled. Turn on the speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds, and look for the blinking light indicating pairing mode. On your device, search for "JAM Rave Max" in the Bluetooth list and select it. If prompted for a pairing code, enter "0000". Once paired, the Bluetooth light will indicate a connected status. The speaker will automatically power off after 2 minutes of unpaired inactivity to conserve battery. If music is paused for 15 minutes or more after pairing, the speaker will also shut off to preserve battery power. To disable pairing with an existing device and pair a new one, press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons for 15 seconds to activate pairing mode.

Auxiliary Connection:

For old-school audio, connect one end of an auxiliary cable (not included) to the speaker's auxiliary jack and the other end to the headphone jack of your device. Turn on the speaker and play music from your device. Music playback and pause will be controlled directly from your device in this mode.

Controls:

The speaker features several control buttons:

• Bluetooth Indicator: Shows when Bluetooth is paired.
• Play/Pause Button: Press to play or pause music.
• Previous Track Button: Go back to a track.
• Next Track Button: Skip to the next song.
• Volume Down Button: Decrease music volume.
• Volume Up Button: Increase music volume.
• Power Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the speaker on or off.
• Battery Indicator: Shows battery level.
• Auxiliary Input: For wired audio connections.
• Charging Port: For connecting the power cord.

Speakerphone Functionality:

When connected via Bluetooth, the JAM Rave Max can be used as a speakerphone. To answer or end a call, simply press the Play/Pause button. To ignore a call, hold down the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds. The speaker will pause music and ring when a call comes in, and resume music from where it left off once the call ends. For outgoing calls, simply dial from your phone, and the Rave Max will automatically handle the call hands-free.

Voice Prompts:

The speaker provides voice prompts to indicate its status, such as powering on, ready to pair, paired, maximum volume, charging, receiving a call, ending a call, rejecting a call, and powering off. The voice prompts can be toggled between English, Spanish, French, or Portuguese, or turned off entirely. To change the language, press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons together until the speaker speaks your desired language.

LED Indicators:

The LED lights on the speaker provide visual cues for its status:

• Bluetooth Light:
  • Pairing Mode: Blinking light.
  • Connected: Solid light.
• Battery Light:
  • Low Battery: Red light.
  • Charging: Red light.
  • Aux-In Mode: Green light.
  • Ready to Party: Blue light.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning:

To clean the speaker, use a soft, damp towel. Avoid using water, harsh cleaners, or any other solvents, as these can damage the internal mechanics of the device.
