How to fix low water flow in my Jandy DEL Swimming Pool Filter?
    • E
      Erica ColemanAug 1, 2025
Low water flow in your Jandy Swimming Pool Filter can stem from several issues. Start by checking and cleaning the skimmer and pump baskets, as they might be dirty. Inspect all connections between the pool intake and pump for air leaks. Also, check all lines for debris or partially closed valves that could be causing restrictions. If the filter grids are the problem, clean or replace them as instructed. Ensure the pool water level is above the pump inlet line. Prime the pump by filling it with water at the basket and replacing the lid. If the pump impeller vanes are blocked or the pump is operating under speed due to low voltage, a technician or electrician is required.

How to stop dirt from returning to the pool from my Jandy DEL Swimming Pool Filter?
    • G
      gmasonAug 7, 2025
If dirt returns to the pool when using your Jandy Swimming Pool Filter, it could be due to a hole in the filter grid fabric, in which case you should replace the filter grid as instructed. It may also be caused by a worn o-ring seal inside the filter, so replacing the o-ring might be necessary.

Why is the water not clear in my Jandy DEL?
    • S
      Scott NguyenAug 13, 2025
If the water in your pool isn't clear, it could be due to several reasons. First, check and adjust the disinfectant level. Also, test and adjust the water chemistry to ensure it's properly balanced. Heavy use or dirt can also affect water clarity, so adjust the filter time or water chemistry accordingly. Insufficient running times can be a factor, so increase the pump run time. A dirty filter can cause this issue, so backwash the filter as instructed. Lastly, inspect the filter grids for any holes and replace them if necessary.

What to do if my Jandy DEL Swimming Pool Filter has short filter cycles?
    • B
      Bryan GordonSep 12, 2025
Short filter cycles in your Jandy Swimming Pool Filter can be caused by a few things. Algae clogging the filter is a common culprit, so check the disinfectant content. Incorrect water chemistry can also lead to this issue, so check the pH, total alkalinity, and TDS. Make sure strainer baskets are being used and are not broken; replace them if necessary. The pump output might exceed the design flow rate of the filter, so check the pump performance. Ineffective cleaning of the filter grids can also cause short cycles, so clean or replace them as instructed.

Why is there high pressure on start-up with my Jandy DEL Swimming Pool Filter?
    • T
      tbakerAug 26, 2025
High pressure on start-up in your Jandy Swimming Pool Filter can be due to a few reasons. A small eyeball fitting in the pool or spa can cause this, so replace it with a larger diameter fitting. Check and fully open all valves on the return line, as a partially closed valve can increase pressure. Also, the pump might be too large for the filter, so check the pump and filter selection. Lastly, dirty filter grids can contribute to high pressure, so clean them as instructed.
