The 4310 was developed by JBL in cooperation with leading
recording studios
to meet the need for a powerlul, yet compact,
professional monitor. The ability of the 4310

Enclosure Design

Cabinet Construction

Solid 3/4-inch stock with lock-mitered joints, raised baffle for dispersion, and ducted port for low-frequency loading.

Front Panel Controls

Separate, continuously variable controls for 'presence' (1.5-7 kHz) and 'brilliance' (7-15 kHz) ranges.

Performance Characteristics

Frequency Response and Dispersion

On-axis response within ±3 dB from 45-15,000 Hz; ±6 dB off-axis up to 45° at 2 kHz.

Low Distortion and High Output

Inaudible distortion even at high power levels and low frequencies; powerful bass fundamentals without doubling.
