Towing/lifting the vehicle
IMPORTANT
Avoid lifting the front or rear wheels (if the other wheels are
resting on the ground). Lifting the front (or rear) wheels only
while towing might damage the transmission or the transfer
case.
If a car is towed without complying with the above
requirements, the transmission and/or the transfer case might
be seriously damaged. Damage due to incorrect towing is not
covered by warranty of the new car.
5.2 EMERGENCY TOWING HOOKS (if provided)
If the car is equipped with tow hooks, one will be fitted on the rear
part of the car and two on the front part. The rear hook is on the
driver side of the car.
NOTE:
For towing off-road, it is recommended to use both front hooks to
minimise the risk of damage to the car.
