Tread wear
Incorrect cold tyre inflation pressures may cause anomalous wear
and shorten the working life of the tread, making it necessary to
replace the tyres earlier.
Travelling comfort and car stability
Correct tyre pressure greatly contributes to travelling comfort.
Excessive tyre inflation pressure generate annoying shaking of the
car.
Tyre inflation pressures
The correct tyre cold inflation pressure is indicated on a plate on the
driver side door B pillar.
The inflation pressures shown on the label are always indicated as
"cold tyre inflation pressure”. Cold tyre inflation pressure is the tyre
pressure after letting the car stand for at least three hours or a travel
shorter than 1.6 km (1 mile) after period of inactivity. The cold tyre
inflation pressure must not exceed the maximum pressure indicated
on the tyre sidewall.
When the tyres are warm, add +0.3 bar to the pressure value
prescribed. However, recheck that the value is correct with the tyre
cold.
