What to do if Jenn-Air JGS8750ADB Ranges burner won't ignite?
    • T
      tayloryoungAug 11, 2025
If your Jenn-Air Ranges burner won't ignite and there's no spark when you turn the knob to 'LITE', first, check that the range is getting 120 VAC from the wall outlet. Then, inspect the wiring against the wiring diagram to ensure all connections are correct and tight, and check the micro switch contacts. Also, the burner might not ignite due to faulty wiring or a bad connection at the burner electrode and electrode socket. Clean the electrode or burner cap if they are dirty. If the electrode is cracked or broken, replace it. Finally, test the spark module according to testing procedures information.

How to fix Jenn-Air JGS8750ADB Ranges burners that won't ignite?
    • R
      Ricky MooreAug 17, 2025
If the burners on your Jenn-Air Ranges aren't igniting and there's no spark, the issue might be due to a poor ground on the burner cap or a clogged burner port. Try cleaning the burner cap. Also, check if the gas pressure is low; it should be 4" WCP for natural gas and 10" WCP for LP gas. If the spark module is weak or has failed, consider replacing it.

What to do if Jenn-Air JGS8750ADB oven won't bake or broil?
    • S
      stonemadelineAug 23, 2025
If your Jenn-Air Ranges oven isn't working in bake or broil mode, start by checking if there is 120 VAC going to the control. If there's no voltage, check the power source. If there is voltage to the control but no voltage from control going to the ignitor, then replace the control. Also, make sure all wire connections are clean and tight, and replace any broken wires.

Why is there no spark at Jenn-Air JGS8750ADB Ranges ignitor?
    • S
      Sarah PonceAug 29, 2025
If you're getting no spark or only a random spark at one ignitor on your Jenn-Air Ranges, check for a cracked ignitor or pinched ignitor wire; if found, replace the ignitor lead or electrode. Also, clean the burner cap and lead to ensure good continuity. Tighten the ground connection and fix any breaks in the ground path from the ignitor to the unit ground. Finally, replace the ignitor lead if it's cracked or broken.

What to do if Jenn-Air JGS8750ADB keeps sparking after being turned off?
    • S
      Shane PenaSep 3, 2025
If your Jenn-Air Ranges continues to spark after the knob is in the OFF position, the valve switch/harness may be shorted. Replace the switch/harness. If excessive spillovers caused the shorting, consider customer education. Also, check if the switch has slipped off the valve; carefully reposition it and rotate from OFF to high several times to verify the switch is not broken.
