The JKF50 Fridge Freezer is a 12V compressor-driven appliance designed for cooling and freezing food and drink items in mobile environments such as motorhomes, campervans, boats, and caravans. It features a high-efficiency DC compressor and conversion module, is CFC-free, and offers fast cooling capabilities.
Function Description:
The JKF50 operates as a dual fridge and freezer zone, with a total capacity of 42 liters (34 liters for the fridge and 8 liters for the freezer). A key feature is its removable freezer section, which allows for multi-function use. When the freezer section is in place, the temperature selection should be set to "Fr" (Freezing room temperature setting mode) to control both the freezer and refrigerator at separate chilling levels. If the freezer section is removed, the temperature selection should be set to "rE" (Refrigerator temperature setting mode) to maintain a refrigerator setting for the entire compartment. It's crucial not to select the "Fr" setting when the freezer compartment is removed, as this will chill the unit to a freezer temperature. The appliance is powered by DC12V/24V or AC 100~240V (with an adapter). It incorporates an intelligent battery protection system to prevent excessive discharge of the power source.

Usage Features:
The JKF50 features a control panel with an LED display for temperature settings and operational status.
- Turning On/Off: A dedicated button allows the user to switch the fridge on or off.
- Temperature Setting: Users can switch between refrigerator (rE) and freezing room (Fr) temperature setting modes using a specific button. Temperature adjustments are made using "+" and "-" buttons.
- Temperature Range: The refrigerator can maintain temperatures between 0°C and 8°C (32°F to 46°F), while the freezing room can reach -12°C to -20°C (10°F to -4°F). These ranges are based on an ambient temperature of 25°C / 77°F for fast cooling to 0°C / 32°F.
- Temperature Unit Setting: The display unit can be switched between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F). This is done by turning off the fridge, holding the Settings button for 3 seconds until "E1" shows, then pressing the Settings button repeatedly until "E5" shows, and finally using "+" or "-" to change the unit.
- Battery Protection System: The JKF50 includes an intelligent battery protection system with three modes: High, Medium, and Low. The default setting is "High," recommended when powered by a car battery. For portable or built-in batteries, "Medium" or "Low" protection modes are recommended to prevent over-discharge. To adjust this, press and hold the Settings button for 3 seconds until the display flashes, then press the Settings button to cycle through the modes.
- Internal Organization: The fridge includes a detachable door shelf, an adjustable inner shelf, and a crisper tray for organized storage.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Before cleaning, the JKF50 must always be disconnected from the power supply. The interior should be wiped with a clean, damp cloth. Abrasive cleaning products should be avoided to prevent damage. After cleaning, a clean, dry cloth should be used to wipe away any moisture residue.
- Storage: For extended periods of non-use, the fridge should be turned off, unplugged, and all food and drink items removed. Any excess moisture should be wiped away, and the unit stored in a cool, dry place with the door left ajar to prevent odors.
- Defrosting: Frost can accumulate inside the JKF50, leading to reduced cooling capacity and energy efficiency. Defrosting is required as needed. To defrost, switch off the JKF50, remove all contents, keep the door open, and thoroughly wipe away defrosted water. It is important never to use hard or pointed objects to remove or loosen ice.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the refrigerator not working, compartments being too warm, food freezing, unusual noises, water drops, and compressor noise. It also lists error codes (F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F7, F8) with possible causes and suggested solutions. For example, F1 indicates low voltage, suggesting adjustment of the battery protection mode. F7 or F8 indicates a faulty temperature sensor, requiring contact with the supplier.
- Disposal: Packaging materials should be disposed of using appropriate recycling services. For the final disposal of the JKF50 itself, guidance should be sought from a local recycling center or specialist dealer in accordance with appliance disposal regulations.
Installation Requirements:
Installation should ideally be carried out by an appropriately qualified person.
- Ventilation: Adequate ventilation is crucial for heat dissipation. The cabinet housing the fridge must allow for a minimum of 20mm space at the rear and top, and 10mm side space. Internal cabinet dimensions should be 580mm (wide) x 730mm (high) x 700mm (deep).
- Placement: The fridge should be kept on a level horizontal surface and away from heat sources. It must remain in a dry environment and not be exposed to sources of water, direct sunlight, gas hobs/ovens, or heaters.
- Fixing: The JKF50 must be adequately fixed within the cabinet to maintain stability. This involves removing blanking covers on the inside of the refrigerator wall, drilling holes through the side metal panel, and securing with suitable screws (not supplied). Blanking covers should then be returned to cover the screw holes.
- Wiring: The manual provides specific wire length to refrigerator, wire gauge, and wire diameter requirements (e.g., Maximum 6m requires 14AWG with 64.1mm diameter). Connections to the vehicle's 12/24VDC system should be direct. Prior to switching on, the power supply voltage and operating voltage must match, and wiring must be protected from heat exposure or sharp objects.
- Operational Tilt: The JKF50 must remain in a vertical upright position when running. The tilt angle must be less than 5º for long-term running and less than 45° for short-term running.
The JKF50 is not designed for modifications or repairs, as these may be hazardous. Children must be supervised when using the appliance. The warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects for 12 months from the date of purchase, excluding malfunctions due to improper installation, use, or modification.
