and ensure that it locks positively by pushing the lever over-
centre.
CAUTION: The flaperon sandwich can be damaged if excessive
force is used and should be handled with care.
WARNING: Never grease the water drain valve, the rubber-based
seal may be damaged and become detached from the
valve body.
WARNING: Failure to ensure that the red rubber water drain plugs
are inserted in the wing roots in front of the forward lift
pin will result in water draining into the cockpit, running
out through the cockpit air extractor. This may lead to
asymmetrical water loadings.
