4.2. MODULATION AND POWER ADJUSTMENT
The modulation and power of the transceiver can be adjusted using R33 (power) and R34
(modulation) on the transmitter unit. These pot. meters are available on the top of the TR-
6201 driver unit.
IMPORTANT !
The transceiver uses low level modulation. Low level modulation is characterised in that the
modulation is applied to an early stage of the transmitter. This is accomplished by the use of a
negative feedback so that the modulation is kept linear.
Since the driver unit, TR-6201, can also be used in a stand-alone system, the complete
transceiver has two separate directional coupler which can give feedback to the modulator. In
the TR-6201, transmitter unit, there is an automatic detector that selects between an external
feedback signal and the internal signal. This means that if the output of the driver unit is
