5.EquipmentDescription
Immersion thermostats are widely used on laboratories for thermal treatment of samples
and bath’s heating.
The equipment includes a circulation pump that can be used to improve the homogeneity
within a bath or to perform a closed liquid circulation circuit for heating.
The unit could work in a continuous or timed operation. Once the operating time has
elapsed, the unit stops (only DIGITERM models)
6.Installation
Unpack the equipment and visually check that the contents are in good conditions. Keep
the package for some days.
6.1Liquidtank
A bucket or tank will be needed to operate the thermostat. See J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
products range or paragraph 2 of this manual.
Fix the thermostat in the tank with the xing clamp.
Place the equipment on a at level stable surface, suitable for the equipment weight.
Select a suitable uid for working temperatures, water, silicone oil, antifreeze, etc.
To work in a comfortable way, please leave a free space of 20cm around the equipment.
6.2Connectiontothemains
Plug the equipment to a near socket suitable for the equipment power. Use the connec-
tion cable supplied.
For your safety, the equipment must be earthed.
Before plugging the machine, check that the voltage supply and the frequency match
the one indicated in the equipment plate.
7.Operation
All the equipment functions are set with the touch screen keys. Gently press with your
nger in the center of each key.
Use the xing clamp (see Fig 7.1) in the rear part of the equipment.
