3.20 INSTALLATION OF THE POWER
CONTROL UNIT (NQE-3167) (OPTION)
Power control unit NQE-3167 is used when an scanner unit is installed at a location away from the
bridge
, such as a foremast.
In the case of a two-unit type scanner, the maximum length of the cable t
hat connects between the display
unit and the scanner unit is 65 meters.
By using NQE-3167 power control unit, the maximum length of the cable that connects between the
disp
lay unit and the scanner unit can be extended up to 465 meters.
Maximum length of the cable connecting between the scanner unit and the power control unit
:
65m
Maximum length of the cable connecting between the power control unit and the display unit
: 400m
3.20.1 Connection with NKE-2103 (JMA-5312-6/6HS) / NKE-2254
(JMA-5322-7/9/6HS) scanner units
Use 19-core composite cable CFQ-6912-** for the installation of those types of scanners (Asterisks ** use the
cable leng
th, and the available cable length is 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 65)
The display-unit side end of this cable is a metal shell ro
und connector. Connect that cable to J2 of the power
control unit.
3.20.2 Connection with NKE-1130 (JMA-5332-12) scanner unit
Use 14-core composite cable 2695110056 and 19-core composite cable CFQ-6912-** for the installation of
those
types of scanners (Asterisks ** use the cable length, and the available cable length is 5, 10, 20, 30, 40,
50, and 65)
The display-unit side end of 19-core composite cable is a metal shell round connector. Connect that cable to
J2 of
the power control unit.
