CAUTION
• For details of signals to be output, refer to page
36.
• If the main unit is connected to equipment with
a Dolby Digital decoder, the “D. RANGE
COMPRESSION” setting of “AUDIO”
(A page 36) is disabled for sound from the
digital audio output of the main unit.
• You can output the audio signal from the
DIGITAL OUT terminal when a loaded disc is
selected as the source.
• Pressing SURROUND MODE while the audio
signal is being output from the DIGITAL OUT
terminal may cause intermittent sound output.
Connecting a TV with the AV terminal
NOTE
• No audio signal is output via AV (SCART) terminal.
CAUTION
Connect the main unit directly with a TV (or a
monitor) without routing through a VCR.
Otherwise it may cause picture distortion while
playing.
Also, when connecting the main unit to a TV with
a VCR built in, there may be picture distortion
while playing.

• The STANDBY lamp (on the front panel) will be
