RANDOM ASSEMBLE EDITING
(RA.Edit) an
This function makes it easier to create edited videos
when your VideoMovie is used as the source player in
combination with your VCR. You cen pre-select up to 8
scenes or "cuts" for automatic aditing in the sequence
you have specified. Random Assembie Editing can be
MER SET more conveniently done if the RM-V704U MBR (Mutt
Brand Remote) has been set to correspond to the
Won Gn: brand of your VCR.
How to set the remote control unit to.

remote control will not work with your VOR or may offer
limited functions.

Preparations
= Connect the VideoMovle and the recording deck as
per the diagram on the right (P.31).
Gil the recording deck is 2 JVC VOR that has a
Remote PAUSE terminal, connect the Editing
cable to it, {If the VCR does not have a Remote
PAUSE terminal, connect to the R.A.EDIT
connector.)

R.A.EDIT connector, connect the Editing cable to
the FIM-V704U's Pause-In jack.
& VideoMovie: Correctly insert a recorded tape and
set the power switch to "PLAY".
= VCR: Tum power on. Insert a recordable tape, and
set to the AUX(iliary) mode. Refer to VOR's manual
for details.
To select up to 8 scenes
1 Press PLAY.
Press R.A.EDIT.
® The R.A. Edit counter display will appear in the
viewfinder and on the TV. screen.
Hi Use FF or REW to search for the beginning of a
scene you want, press IN/OUT.
The in-point's counter reading is registered on the
display.
Bl Use FF or REW to search for the end of the scene
you want, press IN/OUT again.
® The out-point's counter reading is registered on
the display.
«The *TOTAL" reading shows the total running
time of the edited scenes.
