Troubleshooting
What appears to be trouble is not always serious. Check the following points before calling a service center.
o For operations with the external components, refer also to the instructions supplied with the adapters used for the
connections (as well as the instructions supplied with the external components).
o Messages (enclosed in "") in the tables below are shown in the language selected on <Language>. (1& page 52)
Messages described here are in the language of this manual.
Remedies/Causes
o Adjust the volume to the optimum level.
o Check the cords and connections.
Sunshine from the windscreen may cause this symptom.
Adjust <Bright>. (1& page 52)
Reset the unit. (1& page 3)
o Change the source.
o Start the playback on the external component connected
to VIDEO IN plug.
o Check the cords and connections.
o Signal input is too weak.
Reset the unit. (1& page 3)
o Keep your hands and controls clean and dry.
o Eliminate static electricity and do not place magnetic
items near the unit.
o Leave the unit until the temperature becomes stable in
the car.
o A rubber mat on the floor may cause this symptom. In
this case, do not use the rubber mat.
Store stations manually. (1& page 14)
Connect the antenna firmly.
Eject the disc forcibly. (1& page 3)
Unlock the disc. (1& page 19)
o Insert a finalized disc.
o Finalize the discs with the component which you used
for recording.
