This product includes the following items:
• Update SD card (software and map data)
– The update SD card is also used as a part of the map data base of some areas.

Update procedure
• Part 1: Software update (about 10 seconds)
• Part 2: Map data update (about 30 minutes)
• Part 3: Confirming the software and map data version
Important
• Do not turn off the ignition switch during the update, or system may not start again. In this
case, call a service center.
• You cannot use the Navigation function until the update is completed.
– You can use the AV function while updating the System using the remote control or buttons on the
monitor panel. While updating, the updating screen is displayed, so you cannot use the buttons on the
touch panel.
• If an error occurs while updating, consult your JVC car audio dealer.
To start updating
Turn on the ignition switch (either to ON or to ACC), and press to turn on the
power.
• If route guidance is going on the system, cancel the guidance.
