What to do if my Kärcher Water Pump suddenly stops?
    • R
      Robert KaufmanJul 28, 2025
If your Kärcher Water Pump stops running or suddenly comes to a standstill, there might be several reasons. First, check the fuses and electrical connections to ensure the power supply isn't interrupted. The thermal protection switch may have turned off the pump due to overheating; in this case, pull out the mains plug, let the pump cool down, clean the suction area, and prevent dry running. Also, dirt particles might be jammed in the suction area, so unplug the pump and clean it. The level sensor could also be the cause; check its position and correct if necessary, noting that the pump stops 15 seconds after the level sensor loses water contact. If the level sensor is dirty, clean it.

      Jenny RogersAug 3, 2025
If your Kärcher Water Pump runs but isn't transporting water, it could be due to a few reasons. There might be air in the pump; try unplugging and plugging in the mains plug repeatedly until the fluid is drawn. Alternatively, the suction area might be blocked, so pull out the mains plug and clean the suction area. Finally, the water level may be below the minimum fluid level; immerse the pump deeper into the fluid if possible, or refer to the Operation chapter for further instructions.

If your Kärcher Water Pump continues to run even when the level sensor isn't in contact with water, it could be because the level sensor is dirty; try cleaning it. Alternatively, the switch may be set to manual operation (MAN); in that case, set the switch to automatic mode (AUTO).
