The water supply of your Karmann mobile
home is by means of the built-in water tank.
An electric pump pumps the water to the
consumers in kitchen and bathroom.
Drinking water filler opening
The fresh water tank is filled using the
lockable tank cap on the driver's side of your
mobile home. Close all discharge valves and
taps etc. beforehand.
Fresh water tank
The fresh water tank is under the rear bench
of the side seating group or under both
benches of the rear seating group (550, 650,
660, 675TI second tank optional). The relevant
level of the fresh water can be read at the
control panel (Page 6-1).
In order to clean the tank, empty the tank and
rotate the cleaning lid under the bench to
open.
Note
The fresh water pump is started up by means
of an automatic pressure switch. the drop in
pressure when the tank is emptied switches
on the pump. Therefore turn the pump switch
off at the control panel (Page 6-1), so that the
pump does not run dry when the tank is empty.
When the vehicle is being filled with fuel
by people who do not know the mobile
home well, make sure that the tank
openings for fuel and water are not
confused.
Caution
Do not use generally-available cleaning
materials or fluids to clean the tank. Use
special anti-bacterial cleaner from a
specialist dealer. Note the instructions
for use of the selected cleaner.
