6) Secure the end bracket on the mounting rail.
The expansion module is removed.
5.8 Air conditioning and ventilation
The module housing has ventilation slots for heat dissipation. No external
fan is required if the permissible ambient temperature is observed. Make
sure that the ventilation holes are not covered.
Caution
High temperatures may destroy the module!
The operating temperature inside the control cabinet must not be higher
than the permissible ambient temperature of the module. If this cannot
be guaranteed through natural heat dissipation, an air conditioning of the
control cabinet must be provided.
The specified required free space above and below the modules has to
be guaranteed for heat dissipation reasons.
5.8.1 Use of air filters
The CP 50x/x must be installed in a dust-free, closed control cabinet so that
there is no contamination greater than contamination level 2 (according to
EN 61010-1). The ventilation holes of the control cabinet must be equipped
with air filters. The filter elements must be cleaned or replaced regularly.
Information
Contamination level 2, description according to standard EN61010-1:
Normally only nonconductive pollution occurs. Occasionally a temporary
conductivity caused by condensation must be expected.
