If the extermal participant ensures fail-safe the resistor termination without
fale-safe should be used.
If "Bus termination with resistor termination" is chosen, fail-safe is addition-
ally activated.
Information
Fail-safe wiring is only allowed once per RS-485-A bus. The resistors R
pull-up
and R
pull-down
pull the RS-485-A bus to a defined level, even if no data is sent
by the participants.
To select a particular bus termination the DIP switch (S1) on the front of the
module is set (see "Serial interface configuration").
6.8.3.3 Connection example
Information
It is recomended to use cables with 120 Ω line impedance for the connec-
tion.
