Why does my Kenmore 253.70181 keep blowing fuses or tripping the circuit breaker?

If your Kenmore Air Conditioner is blowing fuses or tripping the circuit breaker, first, replace the fuse with a time delay type or reset the circuit breaker. Too many electrical devices on the same circuit can cause this, so unplug or relocate some devices. Ensure the air conditioner is plugged into a dedicated, single-circuit outlet, especially if it's rated over 7.5 amps. Avoid using an extension cord. If you turned the unit off and on too quickly, turn it off and wait 3 minutes before restarting.
