Why won't my Kenmore 2600 010 run or fill with water?
    • J
      James ElliottAug 19, 2025
If your Kenmore Washer won’t run or fill, first, make sure the power cord is plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet and that there is power to the outlet. Avoid using an extension cord. Reset any tripped circuit breakers or replace blown fuses. The washer lid must be closed to operate. Also, the washer may pause during certain cycles or to reduce suds. If the washer spins before filling, remove some items and rearrange the load evenly. Do not add more than 1 or 2 additional items after the cycle has started. Use only HE detergent and follow the detergent directions based on your load requirements. To remove suds, cancel the cycle and select Rinse/Spin without adding more detergent.

What to do if my Kenmore Washer is not draining or spinning and loads are still wet?
    • C
      Christina HillAug 21, 2025
If your Kenmore Washer isn't draining or spinning and loads are still wet, it could be due to small items caught in the pump or between the basket and tub. Empty pockets and use garment bags for small items. Ensure you are using the recommended cycle/spin speed for your garments. If needed, select Drain/Spin to remove extra water, rearranging the load for even distribution. A tightly packed load can also prevent proper spinning; reduce the load size to improve water removal. Check the drain hose for proper installation, ensuring it's securely attached and not clogged. Lower the drain hose if the end is higher than 96 inches above the floor.

How to prevent load tangling in my Kenmore Washer?
    • C
      christine65Aug 23, 2025
If you're experiencing tangling with your Kenmore Washer, make sure the washer is loaded as recommended. Select a cycle with a slower wash action and spin speed, keeping in mind that items will be wetter than with a higher speed spin. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall. Reduce tangling by mixing types of load items and using the recommended cycle for the type of garments being washed.

Why is my Kenmore 2600 010 dispenser not working correctly?
    • R
      Ricky SnowAug 26, 2025
If you're experiencing incorrect dispenser operation with your Kenmore Washer, avoid overfilling the dispenser, as this causes immediate dispensing. Always select the Fabric Softener option to assure proper dispensing and load dispensers before starting a cycle. If you have low water pressure, which may result in residual powder in the dispenser, select a warmer wash temperature if possible, depending on your load, or use liquid HE detergent. Use only liquid chlorine bleach in the bleach dispenser.

What to do if detergent suds are slowing or stopping my Kenmore Washer from draining and spinning?
    • Y
      youngsarahAug 28, 2025
If the detergent you are using is causing suds to slow or stop draining and spinning in your Kenmore Washer, use only HE detergent. Always measure and follow detergent directions for your load. To remove extra suds, select Rinse/Spin, and do not add detergent.

Why are there dry spots on my load after my Kenmore 2600 010 cycle?
    • J
      Jasmine HuntAug 30, 2025
If you notice dry spots on your load after a Kenmore Washer cycle, it's likely due to the high spin speeds combined with air flow during the final spin. This is normal, as high-speed spins extract more moisture than traditional top-load washers, causing items near the top of the load to develop these dry spots.

Why are the wash or rinse temperatures incorrect on my Kenmore Washer?
    • K
      Kristen MurphySep 1, 2025
If your Kenmore Washer has incorrect wash or rinse temperatures, check for a proper water supply and ensure that the hot and cold inlet hoses are not reversed. Both hoses must be attached to both the washer and faucet, with both hot and cold water flowing to the inlet valve. Also, check that the inlet valve screens are not clogged and remove any kinks in the hoses. Keep in mind that Energy Star washers use cooler wash and rinse water temperatures, including cooler hot and warm washes.

Why is my load not rinsed properly in my Kenmore 2600 010 Washer?
    • J
      James SmithSep 4, 2025
If your Kenmore Washer load is not rinsed properly, start by checking for a proper water supply and ensure that the hot and cold inlet hoses are not reversed. Both hoses must be attached and have water flowing to the inlet valve, with both hot and cold water faucets turned on. Check the inlet valve screens for clogs and remove any kinks in the inlet hose. Use only HE detergent, measuring it correctly, as suds from regular detergent can hinder proper operation. Always measure detergent and follow directions based on load size and soil level. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall, using dry items only, and select a cycle designed for the fabrics being washed. Avoid adding more than 1 or 2 garments after the washer has started.

Why is there sand, pet hair, or lint on my load after washing in my Kenmore 2600 010?
    • D
      David FullerSep 6, 2025
If you find sand, pet hair, or lint on your load after washing with your Kenmore Washer, it may be due to heavy residues requiring additional rinsing. Add a 2nd Rinse to the selected cycle to help remove these residues.

Why is my Kenmore 2600 010 Washer not cleaning or removing stains effectively?
    • A
      Amber LesterSep 8, 2025
If your Kenmore Washer is not cleaning or removing stains effectively, it could be because the wash load isn't completely covered in water, or the washer isn't loaded properly. The washer senses load size and adds the correct amount of water, which is normal. Avoid adding more water, as it can lift laundry off the washplate and reduce cleaning effectiveness. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall, using dry items only, and avoid tightly packing the load. Also, refrain from adding more than 1 or 2 garments after the washer has started.
