Why won't my Kenmore 2600 010 run or fill with water?

  If your Kenmore Washer won’t run or fill, first, make sure the power cord is plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet and that there is power to the outlet. Avoid using an extension cord. Reset any tripped circuit breakers or replace blown fuses. The washer lid must be closed to operate. Also, the washer may pause during certain cycles or to reduce suds. If the washer spins before filling, remove some items and rearrange the load evenly. Do not add more than 1 or 2 additional items after the cycle has started. Use only HE detergent and follow the detergent directions based on your load requirements. To remove suds, cancel the cycle and select Rinse/Spin without adding more detergent.
