2. Choose the opening:
HO0142
VERTICAL DISCHARGE:
Using a Robertson or a Phillips no. 2 screwdriver, remove
the 4 top metal plate retaining screws in order to clear the
vertical discharge opening (see illustration beside). Discard
the metal plate and its screws.
HORIZONTAL DISCHARGE:
In order to ease a retrofi t installation, the horizontal discharge
may be positioned on higher OR on lower back of the hood.
From outside the unit, remove the knockout for the chosen
discharge opening (see illustrations beside).

1. Lay the hood on its back on a table.
Remove grease fi lters by lifting the metal latch tab (1),
pushing down on the fi lter (2) and tilting is towards you (3).
