If your Kenmore Microwave hood combination is not sensor cooking as expected, ensure the oven has been plugged in for at least 5 minutes before starting. Also, make sure the room temperature doesn't exceed 95°F, and that both the cooking container's exterior and the oven's interior are dry. Note that the oven won't generate microwave energy for the first 28 seconds of the sensor cooking cycle.
