Unpacking 'four Beverage Center
1. Remove all packaging material. This includes the foam and the adhesive tape
from aH outside and inside surfaces, as wdI as accessories and racks Slide
out and remove the plastic or foam guard used to protect the compressor from
shipping damage caused by vibration and shock,
2. inspect and remove any remaining packaging, tape or printed materials
before powering on the beverage center.
3. Check to be sure you have all accessories and parts listed in the Parts and
Features section.
Proper Air Circulation
To ensure that your beverage center works at the maximum efficiency it was
designed for, you should install it in a location where there is proper air
circulation, plumbing and electrical connections.
The foiiowing are recommended clearances around the beverage center:
Sides .................. 3/4 inches (I9 mm)
Top......................2 inches (50 mm)
Back ....................2 inches (50 mm)
Electrical Requirements
Make sure there is a suitable power outlet (115volts, 15 amps) with
proper grounding to power the beverage center.
WARNING: NEVERout off the third grounding prong from the power cord
plug to accommodate a two prong outlet. Removalof the prong provides no
effective grounding for the appliance, which can result in seriousiniury or death
from electrical shock
Installation
Your beverage center is designed for freestanding installation only. it should not be
recessed or built-in Place the beverage center on a floor strong enough to support it fully
!oadea When moving the _ew-_rage center never tilt it b,, more than a 45 degrees angle.
This could damage the compressor and the sealed SVsTem.
If the beverage center has been fi_ted more than 45 degrees, let it stand in an upright
position for at least ! hour prior to plugging it into the power source. This
will allow the refrigerant TOsettle and reduce the possibility of a malfunction in
the cooling system.
Plug the _everage center into an exclusive, properw installed grounded wall outlet.
Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third lgrounding) prong from
the power cord. See. the WARNING _n E/ectrica Reauirements on the r_revious
page. Any questions concerning power and ,or grounding should be directed
toward a certifJed electrician or a Sears or omer aualified service dealer.
After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, allow the unit To run for 2 -3
hours so mat Theinterior is sufficienfl', coot before opening the door to D_ace

Installation Limitations
Do not install your r_everage center in any location not properly insulated or heated.
such as in a garage. Your beverage center is not designed _o operate in temperature
settings below 5.5° Fahrenheit
Select a suitable location for the beverage center on a hard even surface away from
direct sunlight or heat sources such as radiators, baseboard heaters or cooking
appliances.
Handle Installation

the door, To avoid turning unit over, attach handles with set screws facing uo Jfunll s

2. Use a 3 mm hex ke'y ro securel ¢ hgnren me set screws in the handle affachment shafts
to the attachment posts of the door.
