stitch to left by turning Hand Wheel

Set Stitch Width Control to 5 and
make bartack with a few stitches and

Set Stitch Width Control to Green
Zone and sew other side of buttonhole
stopping a few stitches before desired

Remove fabric from machine,
Depending upon the fabrics on which you are sewing, or your own preference in
buttonholes, you may slightly decrease the width of the sides and the spaces in
the center by varying the stitch width settings.
