6. Recommended Maintenance
It is recommended that the unit should be tested from the first “power up”, at least
once a year to verify continued correct operation. Please check all functions for correct
safety monitoring. Please check also the function of the Genius / Fliethomatic under
normal conditions and with different simulated errors for example, mains power (AC)
failure, battery disconnected.
Testing should also be in accordance with the following recommendations ;
Output Voltage Test
Voltage output should be tested under normal load conditions to verify correct levels.
Test the voltage when the Genius / Fliethomatic operates to lock or unlock the door.
Battery Test
Battery should be checked for full charge under normal load conditions. This test
should verify correct voltage at
a) battery terminals, and
b) battery output position on the circuit board to ensure the integrity of all inter-
connecting wiring.
It is recommended to replace the battery at least every 4 years.
Please give used batteries to the recycling, service company.
