WARNING: Do not over-tighten the screw. Over tightening the
screw will not properly secure the mirror, and could cause the
mirror to break loose and injure the occupants in an accident.
CAUTION: Ensure the mirror harness is not pinched between
the mount and the windshield button.
1. Carefully pull harness lead extending out from the mirror, through
the grove in the top side of the mount.
2. Slide the new mirror over the windshield button. Hold the harness
away from the windshield when sliding the mirror over the button.
#2 Philips Screwdriver & Nylon Panel Removal Tool
CAUTION: Do not scratch the lower dash trim panel.
Do not damage wires or connectors in the panel.
Do not break the hidden tab behind the driver's kick panel.
CAUTION: Do not scratch lower dash trim panel.
1. Torque the screw to 1.76 N-m (0.18 kgf-m, 1.3 lb-ft).
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the three (3) Philips screws from the
outside surface of the lower dash trim panel.
1. Remove one (1) Philips screw from lower right corner of lower dash
trim panel.
2. Disconnect the OBDII connector from the dash panel.
3. Using the Nylon Panel Removal Tool, release the one (1) locking tab on
the dash panel.
4. Starting at the upper right side of the panel, pull the panel outward
releasing the clips, moving right to left.
