Closing the bonnet:

- 2WD vehicle emergency towing: If towing without wheel dollies, tow with front wheels off the ground. Set ignition to ACC, place transaxle in N (Neutral), and release parking brake.
- Emergency towing: Recommended to use an authorized Kia dealer or commercial tow truck.
- CAUTION for AWD vehicles: AWD vehicles should never be towed with wheels on the ground to prevent serious damage to the transaxle or AWD system.
Removable towing hook [7]:
- Location: Stored in the tool case in the tailgate.
- Installation: Remove hole cover on bumper, install hook by turning clockwise until secured.
- Removal: Remove hook and reinstall cover after use.
Spare tyre, jack and tools [7]*:
- Location: Stored in the luggage compartment under the luggage box cover.

Checking the engine oil level [8]:
- Procedure: Pull out the dipstick, wipe clean, reinsert, then pull out again to check the level.
- Level: Should be in the C range.
Refilling engine oil [8]:
- Specification: Use only the specified engine oil [9].
- Caution: Avoid spillage.
Checking the washer fluid level [8]: Visually inspect the reservoir level.
Adding urea solution [8]*:
- Function: For diesel engine derivatives, urea solution (DEF) is added to a separate tank for emission control.
- Location: Filler is next to the fuel filler flap.
- Maintenance: Regular checking and topping up are crucial to prevent the vehicle from not starting.
Urea solution level gauge [8]*: Displays the current urea solution level.
Low urea solution warning message [8]*:
- Warning: If "Refill Urea tank or vehicle will not start" message is displayed with the SCR warning lamp, the vehicle cannot be restarted once the engine is turned off.
- Action: Full replenishment is always recommended in such cases.
Additional Info*
Idle Stop & Go (ISG):
- Function: Automatically stops the engine when the vehicle is stationary to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
- Conditions: May not work if battery charge is low, ambient/engine temperature is too low, or certain AC/heater settings are active.
Parking brake (handbrake):
- Engagement: Apply footbrake first, then engage the parking brake.
- Recommendation: Leave the car in first/reverse gear or 'P' (Park) position on automatics when leaving the car.
