End of Unit Life Warning
IMPORTANT: Ten (10) years after the initial power up, this alarm
will “beep” two times every 30 seconds to indicate that it is time to
replace the alarm. Display will show “End”.
To help identify the date to replace the alarm, a label has been affixed to
the side of the alarm. Write the “replace by” date (ten years from power
up) in a permanent marker on this label.
End of Unit Life Hush Control
The End of unit Life Hush feature allows you to silence End of Unit life
chirping, for a period of 3 days, by pressing the Test/Hush button. This
feature can be used 10 times within 30 days, allowing you to replace the
alarm at a more convenient time. After 30 days, the alarm will no longer
detect CO. RELACE ALARM IMMEDIATELY!
Night Light / Escape Light Feature
This model is equipped with a night light feature. The brightness of the
night light can be adjusted by the user pushing the peak level button and
holding the button as the digital display cycles through a range of numbers
(settings) from 0 to 10. Release the button at the desired setting number
(brightness). If the night light feature is not wanted, push and hold the
peak level button, and then release the button when the display cycles to
the “Off” setting.
Note: The night light feature does not work if the unit is powered by DC only.
The escape light feature can help people exit rooms during alarm
situations. The escape light will brightly illuminate during alarm, and will
remain lit continuously on AC power as long as the alarm condition exists.
On DC power only, the escape light will remain lit continuously as long as
the alarm condition exists and the low battery level has not been reached.
