Trouble Cause Countermeasure
z Change the fuel and fuel filter.
z Check the proper amount of oil.
z Clean or replace the element.
z Heat the muffler by applying load to the
engine.
z Check the injection nozzle.
z Change the fuel and fuel filter.
z Shift to lower gear or reduce load.
z Shift to lower gear or reduce load.
z Fill cooling system to the correct level; check
radiator and hoses for loose connections or
leaks.
z Adjust or replace fan belt.
z Remove all trash.
z Flush cooling system.
z Fuel quality is poor.
z Too much oil.
z The air cleaner is clogged.
z The inside of exhaust muffler is
dumped with fuel.
z Injection nozzle trouble.
z Fuel quality is poor.
z Engine overloaded
z Low coolant level
z Loose or defective fan belt
z Dirty radiator core or grille screens
z Coolant flow route corroded
Exhaust fumes
