8. TROUBLESHOOTING
1. With the key on "START" the starter motor does not run 2. With the key on «START», the starter motor runs but the engine does not start 3. Starting is difficult or the engine runs erratically 4. Poor engine performance during cutting
Turn the key to pos. «OFF» and look for the causes: – conditions are not met to allow starting – badly connected battery – battery terminals crossed – completely flat battery or eroded battery

– fuse blown (10 A) – malfunction on the starter relay – insufficiently charged battery – faulty fuel supply – faulty ignition – fault in carburation – forward speed too high compared to cutting

– check that the conditions allowing starting
are met (

– recharge the battery ( 6.2.3)
– replace the fuse (10 A) ( 6.3.5)
– contact Your Dealer – recharge the battery ( 6.2.3)
– check the level in the tank

– open the fuel stopcock (if present)

– check the fuel filter – check that spark plug cap is securely fitted – check that the electrodes are clean and have
the correct gap
– clean or replace the air filter – empty the fuel tank and refill with fresh fuel – check and replace the fuel filter if necessary – refer to engine manual – reduce the forward speed and/or raise
the cutting deck
– check blades and replace if damaged or worn
