2. Allow the tractor time to cool off
before servicing any part that may
have become hot while the tractor
was running.
3. You must always stop the engine
before refueling the tractor. Avoid
overlling the tractor or spilling the
fuel.
4. Before jump starting a dead battery,
read and follow all of the instruc-
tions.
5. Keep a rst aid kit and re extin-
guisher handy at all times.
In order to service your tractor you
must park it on a at level surface, set
the parking brake, place the gear shift
lever in neutral and stop the engine.
1. Do not smoke while working around
the battery or when refueling your
tractor. Keep all sparks and ames
away for the battery and fuel tank.
The battery presents an explosive
hazard because it gives off hydro-
gen and oxygen… especially when
recharging.
SERVICING THE TRACTOR
6. Do not remove the radiator cap
while the coolant is hot. When cool,
slowly rotate the cap to the rst stop
and allow sufcient time for excess
pressure to escape. After all the
pressure is released remove the
cap completely. If your tractor is
equipped with a coolant recovery
tank, add coolant there rather than
to the radiator.
