a). Drain all petrol from the fuel tank and carburettor into an approved petrol container using a
funnel to avoid spilling.
b). Loosen and remove the carburettor drain screw. Turn the fuel tap to the ON position and drain
the petrol from the carburettor into a suitable container.
c). After all the petrol has been drained, re-install the carburettor drain screw. Tighten securely.
d). Turn the fuel tap to the OFF position.
Step 3.
Change the engine oil – use recommended SAE10W-30 grade oil.
Step 4.
Remove the spark plug and pour about a tablespoon of clean engine oil into the
cylinder. Crank the engine several revolutions to distribute the oil, and then re-install the
spark plug.
If the generator is equipped with a battery for the electric start, recharge the battery once a month
to ensure optimum service life of the battery.
