TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible Cause Suggested Remedy
Fan will not start.
Fuse or circuit
breaker blown.
Check main and branch
circuit fuses or circuit
breakers.
Loose power line con-
nections to the fan.
Check line wire con-
nections to fan.
Speed controller not
in correct positon.
Check speed con-
troller's position.
Fan sounds noisy.
Top canopy touch-
ing ceiling.
Lower canopy form ceil-
ing to ensure minimum
3 mm clearance.
Loose fan blades screws. Re-tighten all screws
on fan blades but
never over-tighten.
Ceiling fan not secured
against ceiling.
Re-tighten all screws in
the hanging bracket or
plate.
Incorrect speed controller. Change the control-
ler to one supplied.
Fan wobbles.
Fan blades are not
horizontal to ceiling.
Measure from ceiling
to tips of blades,then
rotate fan so all blades
are checked for equal
height from ceiling(not
adjustments may be made
by slight pressure up or
down on blade holders).
Blade screws are loose. Make sure all screws
are securely fastened.
