Finally, if the amplifier only plays at low volume, check for shorted speaker wires or damaged speakers, or speakers operating below the minimum recommended impedance.

  If the green LED is on, but there is no output, check the RCA connections, test speaker outputs with a 'known' good speaker, substitute the source unit with a 'known' good source unit, and check for a signal in the RCA cable feeding the amplifier with the VOM meter set to measure 'AC' voltage.
