2. Intended use
The special-purpose insulation stripper enables high-qua ity, non-
destructive stripping and desheathing for all electrical single- and multi-
core cables with a 0.03–16 mm² cross-section (AWG 32 - 6). The tool can
be used for hybrid leads with diameters of up to 10 mm and Teon cables
with a 2 mm² or lower cross-section. Use of the tool does not depend
on the strength of the insulating material. Special blades ensure that the
insulation stripper can be used for system handling work (hybrid exterior
sheath and interior insulation, ribbon cables, etc.).

3. Tool description
The special-purpose insulation stripper consists of a xed base plate (10)
and a pivoting base plate (11), blade holders (1 to 4), the blade unit with
blades (5 to 8, with markings for cross-section to be cut), a cable guide
(only for use with blade set 12 12 02 for Teon cables measuring 0.03–
2.08 mm², not visible in Fig. 1) and a length stop 9 for insulation stripping
work from 3 mm to 25 mm.
