  If your Kobalt Air Compressor isn't running, there could be several reasons. First, ensure the unit is properly plugged in and check the fuse or breaker. A blown shop/house fuse could be the issue, so replace it. Also, reset any open shop/house breakers, investigating why it tripped. The motor might have a thermal overload, in which case it will restart once cooled. Check the proper use of the extension cord. If the tank is full of air, the compressor will turn on when the tank pressure drops to the cut-in pressure. If none of these solutions work, the pressure switch might be faulty.
