3. Variable-Speed Dial
Adjust the polishing speed with the variable-speed
dial (D).
Turn the dial to any position between “1” for the
lowest speed and “5” for the highest speed.
WARNING
• Never change the speed while the tool is
running. Failure to obey this caution could make
you lose control of the tool and result in serious
personal injury.
4. Side Handle
The side handle (L) may be installed on either side
of the gear case. For ease of operation, position
the side handle in the location that offers the best
control.
a. To install the side handle, remove the battery
pack, then thread the side handle into one of
the auxiliary-handle sockets (E) and tighten the
handle securely by turning it clockwise.
b. To remove the side handle, remove the battery
pack, then loosen the side handle by turning it
counterclockwise.
5. Bail Handle
To Install the Bail Handle
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Remove the side handle.
3. Position the bail handle (K) in the position
(left or right orientation) that offers best control.
4. Slide the handle around the front of the tool and
up onto the body of the tool.
5. Fit the handle into both auxiliary-handle
sockets (E).
6. Select one of the three angle positions that
offers best control: forward, 90°, or back.
7. Insert the hex cap screws (I) into each side of
the bail handle and tighten them securely with
the hex wrench (H).
