Remove
the
four
direct
view
finder
screws;
two
under
the
view
finder
and
range
finder
windows on
the
back
of
the
direct
view
finder
cover
assembly,
and two
next
to
the
range
finder
windows on
the
front
of
the
cover.
It
is
not
necessary
to
remove
the
two
depth-of-focus
scale
frame
screws
unless
the
depth-of-focus
scale
is
to
be
replaced.
Lift
off
the
direct
view
finder
cover,
being
care-
ful
to
lift
it
straight
up.

CAUTION:
If
the
cover
is
pulled off
at
an
angle,
it
will
strike
the
parallax
frame
assembly
and
may
bend
it
out
of
adjust-
ment.
Do
not
remove
the
focusing
dial
unless
neces-
sary.
However, if the focusing
dial
must
be
removed
proceed
as
follows: Unhook the
dial
spring
from
the
bracket
screw
and
lift
off the
dial
and
spring.
Then
if
necessary,
remove
the
bracket
from
the
mechanism
plate
by
removing
the
two holding
screws.
