The size
of the lens opening, through
which
the light
passes
while
the shutter is open,
is changed
by
moving
the
lever across the
/-number
scale at the bottom of
the shutter.
For
greater
convenience,
a dual
/-number
scale
is located on the top rim of
the shutter.
The
opening is largest
when the lens opening lever
is set at
f 14.5
and smallest
when it is
set
at
f 132.
Each
succeeding
lens opening
from
f 132
to
f 15.6
admits
twice
as much
light
as the
one
before;
for example, a setting
of
ll22
lets through twice as
much light as
f
132.
