STOPPING THE ENGINE
WARNING: The engine may continue to run after ignition is turned off,
turn the ignition switch immediately to ON and allow the engine to idle until
it has cooled enough to stop.
WARNING: Avoid injury when checking a hot engine. Allow the engine
to cool down before removing the heat exchanger cap.
CAUTION: Before restarting the engine ensure that both the coolant
system and the engine oil level have been checked and re-filled if
necessary.
Normal Conditions
Following normal operating conditions, lower the engine speed to idle, pushing
the throttle cable in on mechanical systems or with electronic systems return to
idle. Put the drive in neutral. Run the engine for a few minutes at idle to allow the
coolant system to cool down before turning the ignition switch to the off position.
