Why Kodiak RT2800 engine will not start?

  If your Kodiak Pressure Washer's engine won't start, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the gas tank is filled. Next, check that the engine throttle is positioned about 1/3 of the way towards the FAST setting. For a cold engine, make sure the choke rod is pulled to the CLOSED position. Finally, excess pressure might have built up in the unit; press the gun trigger to release any residual pressure.

  If your Kodiak Pressure Washer's engine is running but not delivering maximum pressure, there are several potential causes. Begin by ensuring that the water supply isn't restricted; fully open the water faucet and inspect the garden hose for any kinks, leaks, or blockages. The diameter of your garden hose is also important; use a minimum 5/8" diameter hose. Other possible reasons include a clogged water inlet screen (remove and clean it), an obstructed nozzle (clean the nozzle), or the spray nozzle being in low-pressure mode (adjust it to the high-pressure position). Lastly, if the unit has been stored in freezing temperatures, thaw it out completely, including the hose, gun, and wand.
