Engine starts but
shuts down after 30 seconds
Engine runs but
cannot be stopped by
moving master switch
to OFF/RESET

Crank/disconnect
relay LED lit?
No
Yes
Check for 120 volts AC output from
stator 1-2 winding at V0 and V7. See
Section 9, Wiring Diagrams. Generator
set must be running while performing
this test.
Test magnetic pickup operation as
described in Section 7, Magnetic Pickup.
If specified voltage is present and
magnetic pickup tests good, replace
circuit board.
Note: Allow a 60-second cooldown
between cranking attempts if the
set does not start.
