b. Grasp the cross shaft with a pliers and turn
the shaft couterclockwise as far as it will go,
then tighten the hex. nut securely. See Figure
11-66.

5. Be sure the rubber sleeve seal is installed on
the air cleaner base stud. Install the air cleaner
element and precleaner. Secure the element with
the wing nut. See Figure 11-67.
