Type of error: Bore size is not correct
• Torque value of the ABS connection is incorrect Verify the torque specifi-
cations with a torque wrench, ABS50: 25 Nm = 221 inch/lbs, ABS32: 15 Nm
= 132 inch/lbs
• Wrong cutting conditions Review insert, SFM, Feed, depth of cut
• Accuracy of machine Review the machine tool change accuracy
• ABS clamping face on the micro adjustable boring head is not tting pro-
perly Verify the clamping face of the Micro adjustable boring head and
the spindle connection for damages/scratches or dirt
Type of error: Cutting size varies
• The adjustment mechanic is not relieved properly After the adjustment of
the cutting diameter, turn back the adjustment wrench by about a 1/8 turn.
(Relieve the adjustment mechanic)
Type of error: Chatter or out of round bore
• Out of balance condition Attention: Maximum revolution speed is
12,500 rpm. Use KOMET balancing ring. (M04 00151: Balancing ring
L01 15050; M04 00201: Balancing ring L01 15060). For more information:
