RPM control
o Type of RPM control - Choose between off,
Governor or Governor Store. In Governor store
mode the motor and battery parameters are
stored once and are not reset with every start
up.
Caution: If the motor is changed or the battery
has a different number of cells the mode has to
be programmed again. Otherwise damage may
occur.
o Spool up time - start up time for spool up.
Limits: KOBY: 6s - 20s, others: 6s - 60s
Default: 12s
Caution: Too short spool up time can cause
damage of the helicopter.
o P-Part
Changes behavior of RPM control. Only change
with expert knowledge!
Limits: Min 0 - Max 10
Default: 4
o Ri.-Comp.
Resistance of the motor. Used to improve the
RPM control if (rarely) needed.
Limits: Min 0 - Max 1000mOhm
Default: 4mOhm
Motor
o
o Type of brake - Choice of no brake, normal
brake or proportional brake, which is used in
forward/backward mode.
o Pole count - To get the correct motor RPM in
the logs/telemetry, the pole count of your
motor must be set.
o Gear ratio - to get the correct head or prop
RPM in geared usage in log/telemetry, the
gear ratio used has to be set.
o Auto-Timing - normally the timing for the
motor is calculated automatically by the ESC,
depending on the used power and the motor
parameters. To deactivate this automation
switch to Fix-timing.
o Fix-Timing - If the timing detection for the
motor is not working properly, the timing can
be set to fixed (this is equivalent to KSA
mode).
Limits: Min 0° - Max 30°
Caution: wrong timing may cause to poor
efficiency and a hotter motor.
Warnings
The limits for the warnings communicated by a
TelME module can be set here. The Telemetry
protocol can be selected at the two fields on the
bottom.
Please note, that the last two fields can be only
used for KOLIBRI ESC’s.
o Battery cut off - TelMe-Parameter
threshold for battery cut off / cell. Here the
warning on the transmitter is activated.
Limits: Min 700mV - Max 4400mV
Default: 3500mV
o Capacity limit - TelMe-Parameter
threshold for capacity limit in Ah. Here the
warning on the transmitter is activated.
Limits: Min 0.0Ah - Max 1000.0Ah
Default: 0.0 - not activated
