This document is an operating manual with a spare parts list for the Kränzle K 1322 TS high-pressure cleaner, designed for the USA market. It provides comprehensive information on the device's function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.
Function Description
The Kränzle K 1322 TS is a portable high-pressure cleaner intended for high-pressure water jet cleaning applications, with or without detergents, and low-pressure cleaning work with detergents (e.g., with a foam injector or washing brush). The device is characterized by its convenient and compact design, making it suitable for everyday use. Its technology package, including high precision and dimensional accuracy, ensures performance, safety, and durability.
The high-pressure cleaner operates by supplying water to a high-pressure pump, either under pressure or by direct suction from a pressureless container. The pump then forces the water under pressure to the lance, where the nozzle forms a high-pressure jet. The K 1322 TS features a totalstop system: when the main switch is on, the motor starts via a pressure switch when the safety trigger gun is opened and switches off immediately when the gun is closed.
A pressure control valve/safety valve protects the high-pressure cleaner from excessive pressure buildup. It prevents the selection of an operating pressure that exceeds safe limits. The operating pressure and spray rate can be steplessly adjusted by turning a handle, with the maximum pressure being factory-set.
The motor is protected against overload by a motor protection switch, which automatically switches off the motor in case of overload or blocking. If the motor repeatedly switches off, the cause of the failure should be identified and remedied.

Usage Features
The manual emphasizes several critical usage guidelines:
- Protective Clothing: Users must wear waterproof clothing, rubber boots, safety goggles, and ear protection.
- Safety Distance: Maintain a minimum distance of 30 cm from objects being cleaned, especially car tires, to prevent damage.
- No Direct Connection to Public Drinking Water: The high-pressure cleaner may not be directly connected to public drinking water supply lines. Indirect connection is permissible via a non-return valve with a tube ventilator (Kränzle item no.: 410164) or a reservoir with a float valve.
- Water Supply: Ensure sufficient water quantity to prevent cavitation and accelerated wear. Never let the pump run dry for more than 60 seconds.
- Electrical Safety: Do not touch the mains plug or live parts with wet hands. Only use power supply cables in perfect working order.
- Lance Recoil: Be aware of the noticeable recoil effect on the lance, ensuring a firm footing.
- Safety Trigger Gun: The device operates only when the trigger is actuated. After each use, apply the safety catch to prevent unintentional spraying.
- Hot Water Use: When using hot water (up to 60 °C), raised temperatures occur. Do not touch metal parts without safety gloves.
- Direct Water Extraction: The pump can suck water from separate containers or ponds up to 1 m suction height and 3 m hose length. Use clean water only and never suck in water containing chlorine or air. The pump and suction hose must be filled with water before the first suction.
- Frost Protection: To protect against frost, completely empty the high-pressure cleaner by disconnecting it from the water supply, switching it on, and opening the trigger gun to press water out. Do not operate without water for more than one minute.
- Storage: Due to its compact design, the K 1322 TS is easy to store in frost-free rooms.
Maintenance Features
The manual outlines essential maintenance procedures:
- Oil Change: The first oil change should be performed after approximately 50 operating hours, then annually or after every 250 operating hours. If the oil turns grey or white, it must be changed. The oil drain screw should be opened above a container, and the old oil disposed of in an approved manner.
- Oil Level Check: Prior to each operation, check the oil level in the oil sight glass; it must be visible in the middle.
- Water Inlet Filter: Before operation, check the water inlet filter for cleanliness. Unscrew the plug-in coupling, remove the filter with needle-nose pliers, and rinse it with clear water. Do not operate the cleaner with a damaged or missing filter.
- Inspections: High-pressure cleaners used for commercial purposes must be inspected by a qualified person at least every 12 months according to the “Guidelines for Liquid Spray Devices” to ensure safe operation. Results must be recorded in writing.
- Small Repairs (Do-It-Yourself):
- No water from nozzle / full pressure gauge: Likely a blocked nozzle. Switch off, pull plug, operate trigger gun to decrease pressure. Unscrew trigger gun and lance, rinse hose. Check water inlet filter. If still blocked, use a wire (paper clip) to clear the nozzle opening; if unsuccessful, replace the nozzle.
- Irregular jet / low pressure gauge: Likely soiled or sticky valves. Unscrew all 6 valves, remove valve body and O-ring, check O-ring for damage (replace if necessary). Clean valves under running water with a wire (paper clip). Remember to reassemble the O-ring.
- Cleaner switches on/off after closing trigger gun / full pressure gauge (Leakage): Check connections from the high-pressure cleaner to the high-pressure hose and to the safety trigger gun for tightness. Switch off, short-press trigger, unscrew high-pressure hose, safety trigger gun, and lance, then check O-rings (replace if damaged).
- Cleaner switches on/off after closing trigger gun / full pressure gauge (Defective non-return valve): Switch off, pull plug, stop water supply, operate trigger gun to decrease pressure. Unscrew pump outlet, remove check body, and check O-ring for soiling or damage. Also check the seal seat inside the pump housing. Replace defective O-rings.
The manual stresses that replacements, repairs, new adjustments, and sealing of safety devices (like the pressure control valve/safety valve and safety trigger gun) should only be performed by qualified persons. Only Kränzle-approved components and spare parts should be used to maintain warranty validity and ensure safety.
