5. General advice on measuring
- To protect the measuring contacts the gauge should be brought into its measuring position without touching
the test piece. In doing so the caliper control lever must be depressed completely. The same applies to the
end of a measurement.
- Hold the gauge loosely during measurement; the caliper control lever should be released and the fixed
caliper arm must not be weighted.
- Only those values measured within the device’s measuring range are correct (see “9. Technical details”).
Anything outside this range should not be measured.
- The gauge should be verified before each series of measurements by using a ring gauge; if there is a
deviation from the specified measurement the device should be reset. (see 0 point adjustment).
- To reduce measuring inaccuracy the gauge should be calibrated in the measuring mode and in the same
position in which measurement of the test object later takes place.

ERR 01 Unknown Input (Input is not supported)
ERR 02 Unknown Input (Input is not supported)
ERR 06 Tolerance limit is out of the acceptable range
ERR 07 OFFSET is out of the acceptable range (see “9. Technical details”)
ERR 08 REL-MODE is outside of indicating range
BATT In case display “Batt” is blinking after switching on the device, change of battery is
urgently necessary. (see “7. Power Supply”)
