  If the coffee from your Krups Coffee Maker is too lightly coloured or too weak, avoid using oily, caramelised, or flavoured coffee beans. Check that the coffee bean container has coffee and is dispensing correctly. Decrease the preparation volume and increase the drink's strength using the Dark function. Adjust the grinding fineness dial to the left for finer grounds. You might also make the drink in two cycles using the 2 cups function.

  If the coffee dispenses too slowly from your Krups Coffee Maker, turn the ‘fineness of grind’ adjustment dial to the right to make the ground coffee coarser, according to the type of coffee used. You can also run one or several rinsing cycles, run a machine clean, or change the Claris Aqua Filter System cartridge.

Why is my Krups Coffee Maker not frothing milk?

  If the One Touch Cappuccino block on your Krups Coffee Maker isn't sucking milk or producing froth, verify that the block is correctly assembled, paying special attention to the connector in the milk tube. Make sure the steam nozzle isn't blocked. Also, check the connector for blockages or dirt; if needed, soak it in hot water and washing-up liquid, then rinse and dry it before reassembling. Ensure the flexible pipe isn't blocked or twisted and is properly inserted into the One Touch Cappuccino block to prevent air leaks. Confirm it's fully immersed in the milk. Rinse and clean the block. It is recommended to use fresh, pasteurised or UHT milk that has been recently opened and a cold container.

  If your Krups Coffee Maker asks to be unplugged and plugged back in, unplug it for 20 seconds. If necessary, remove the Claris Aqua Filter System cartridge, then plug the appliance back in again. If the error continues, it is best to contact the KRUPS Customer Service team.

Why no steam comes out of my Krups EA891?

  If no steam comes out of the steam nozzle of your Krups Coffee Maker, first ensure that the nozzle is not blocked. If the issue persists, empty the water tank and temporarily remove the Claris cartridge. Refill the tank with mineral water that has a high calcium content (over 100 mg/l), and then run steam cycles (5 to 10) consecutively into a container until a continuous jet of steam is obtained. Finally, put the cartridge back in the tank.

  If there is water underneath your Krups Coffee Maker, wait 15 seconds after the coffee has finished flowing before removing the water tank to allow the appliance to finish its cycle properly. Check that the drip tray is correctly positioned on the machine and that it is always in place, even when the appliance is not in use. Ensure that the drip tray is not full and that it is not removed during a cycle.
