    • C
      Crystal WalshAug 4, 2025
If your KTM Motorcycle has been out of operation for a while, old fuel might have accumulated in the float chamber. Drain the old fuel from the float chamber. When the float chamber is filled with new fuel, the engine should start immediately.

If your KTM Motorcycle engine won't start and there is no spark, dismount the spark plug, connect the ignition cable, hold it to ground (a blank place on the engine), and actuate the kickstarter. A strong spark must be produced at the spark plug. If no spark is produced, loosen the spark plug cap from the ignition cable, hold it about 5 mm from the ground, and actuate the kickstarter. If a spark now occurs, replace the spark plug cap. If no spark is produced, control the ignition system.

Why KTM 50 MINI ADVENTURE engine without idle running?
    • J
      Jason BenjaminAug 19, 2025
If your KTM Motorcycle engine won't idle, it might be because the idle adjusting screw is out of adjustment. Try to readjust the idle running or replace the idle adjusting screw. Another potential cause is damage to the ignition system, so examine the ignition system. Also, wear can be a factor, in which case you should overhaul the engine.

If your KTM Motorcycle engine won't start, it could be due to several reasons. You may have made an operating error, so ensure the fuel tap is open, there's enough fuel, and the choke isn't in use. Another reason could be that the fuel supply is interrupted. In this case, close the fuel tap, loosen the fuel hose at the carburetor, and lead it into a basin, then open the fuel tap. If fuel leaks out, clean the carburetor; if not, check the tank ventilation and clean the fuel tap. Also, check the spark plug. If it is fouled by oil, wet, or bridged, clean or replace it. If the electrode distance is too large, reduce it to 0.60 mm. Inspect the ignition cable connectors. If the kill button wire or short-circuit switch is faulty, disconnect the black cable from the short circuit button at the ign...
